Circuit Transport has been a trusted name in the transport industry for 18 years. With a reputation built on reliability and customer focus, the company has recently expanded into warehousing and storage services (Circuit Transport & Logistics) to meet the needs of its growing client base. Due to this, we are looking for a highly experienced Senior Transport Planner to join our team. This role is vital to the smooth running of our operations, ensuring timely and efficient planning of collections and deliveries while maintaining regular communication with drivers and clients.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving and excellent communication skills. For those demonstrating outstanding performance, this role offers a clear pathway to progression, with the potential to advance to a more senior position over time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule daily collections and deliveries, optimising routes and ensuring adherence to safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, addressing queries and ensuring all job details are clear.
- Respond promptly to customer queries and provide regular updates on delivery schedules, delays, or changes.
- Manage scheduling adjustments, including drivers’ time-off requests and appropriate holiday cover.
- Assist in planning vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure transporter readiness.
- Support the team with additional duties as required to maintain smooth operations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years experience working in a direct transport planning position is essential
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Previous experience in fleet management, with CPC qualification preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong geographical knowledge of Dublin, Leinster, and Ireland.
- Skilled in tracking systems such as Azyra, as well as proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace tools would be highly beneficial.
- Prior experience in providing or being involved in cost estimates and pricing for transportation requests is highly preferred.
- Flexibility in role to meet seasonal demands at times
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Pay: €32,000.00-€38,000.00 per year
