Senior Transport Planner

Roadtrain is a family owned business that has been providing full load distribution services throughout Ireland and the UK for over ninety years. We operate a vast and versatile fleet of articulated and rigid vehicles as well as an extensive trailer fleet.

Main duties

· Work as part of an integrated transport planning team

· Ensure company guidelines and quality service are maintained at all times

· Liaising with clients, sub-contractors, overseas offices and agents

· Responsible for communicating with customers and understanding customer requirements

· Co-ordinate and assist the Operations Manager in the planning process for both the domestic and export distribution.

Requirements

· Minimum of five years’ transport planning experience

· Excellent communication skills

· Excellent Planning and organisational skills

· Good knowledge of road network within Ireland and UK

· Self-motivated and ambitious and enjoy working in a busy environment

· Computer literate (Excel / Word etc.)

Hours of Operation

· Monday to Friday (shift) 8am to 5pm / 10am to 7pm

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: €50,000.00 per year
