Server/Bartender Full Time

The Captain’s Boil, Grande Prairie is looking for energetic and customer-focused Full Time Servers/Bartenders to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience by providing friendly service, taking accurate orders, preparing beverages, and ensuring guests enjoy the unique seafood boil experience.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced restaurant environment, has strong communication skills, and enjoys creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Greet guests promptly and create a welcoming dining experience
• Explain menu items, seafood boil options, spice levels, and sauces
• Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system
• Make recommendations to enhance the guest experience
• Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction

Food & Beverage Service

• Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes and standards
• Ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with Alberta liquor laws
• Deliver seafood boil bags and assist guests with the dining setup when needed

Restaurant Operations

• Maintain cleanliness of tables, bar area, and service stations
• Assist with opening and closing duties
• Process payments and handle cash/credit transactions accurately
• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure correct and timely orders

Teamwork

• Communicate effectively with team members and management
• Support coworkers during busy service periods
• Help maintain a positive and professional work environment

Requirements

• Previous restaurant serving or bartending experience preferred but not required
• ProServe certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of seafood or casual dining service
• Experience working in busy restaurants with high walk-in traffic
