Server/Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our restaurant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, taking orders, handling payments, and ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take their food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
• Assist in food preparation and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, tables, and service stations in accordance with sanitation standards
• Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest needs and resolving issues promptly
• Support kitchen staff with basic kitchen experience when needed

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
• Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
• Familiarity with food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent time management skills to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
• Kitchen experience or food industry knowledge is advantageous
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings as needed
