Service Engineer

We are looking for a Service Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize semiconductor test systems across Singapore, Japan, and Taiwan, ensuring minimal downtime and high operational efficiency.

The role includes machine installation and commissioning, customer and vendor coordination, inventory management, quality and safety checks, data analysis, and reporting, with occasional overseas travel and weekend standby as required.

Key responsibilities

• Be responsible to keep all Burn-in systems in Singapore, Japan, and Taiwan at an agreed level of efficiency
• Provide support for all other EDA APAC customers when required
• Liaise with customers and third-party service providers independently to ensure that services are delivered effectively with the support of the Service Manager
• Liaise with customers and follow up on all Purchase Orders
• Oversee and meet the service level for routine and corrective maintenance tasks
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of semiconductor test systems to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance
• Responsible for new machine installation, commissioning, and buy-off with comprehensive report generation
• Participate in data analysis for all systems
• Take control of local inventory – monitor and reorder when needed
• Conduct quality assurance and safety checks on all requirements
• Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions
• Generate and publish reports to the service manager on a weekly basis or as per request
• Responsible for all assigned tools, test equipment, test jigs, and any other assets provided
• Support weekend standby based on requirements
• Travel overseas as and when required
• Perform any job assigned from time to time by the Management

Required skills and qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics/Communication Engineering or other equivalent qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience as service engineer in a semiconductor company
• Practical experiences with electrical wiring diagram
• Troubleshooting skill with electrical wiring and refrigeration system
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skill
• Basic computer literacy
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team
• Good diagnostics and problem-solving skills
• Able to travel locally and abroad
• MS office package (Word, Excel and Power Point)
