Service & Installation Engineer (Automatic Doors)

IDS Irish Door Systems is looking for an experienced Service & Installation Engineer to join our Dublin-based team.

This is a practical, field-based role where you’ll work on a wide range of automatic door systems across commercial and industrial sites. If you enjoy problem-solving, working independently, and taking pride in quality workmanship, this role offers strong long-term potential.

What you’ll be doing

- Installing automatic door systems across a variety of client sites
- Diagnosing and repairing faults efficiently on-site
- Carrying out planned servicing and maintenance
- Managing your own daily schedule and jobs
- Working independently on service calls and as part of a team on installations

What we’re looking for

Ideally you will have:
- Experience in automatic doors, access systems, or a related field (e.g. electrical, mechanical, gates, lifts)
- Strong fault-finding ability (electrical/mechanical)
- A full driving licence
- Good communication skills and a professional approach on-site

You need relevant experience, but you don’t need to be perfect—we’ll train you on the specifics.

Call-out rota

This role includes participation in a call-out rota; however, we actively work to minimise out-of-hours call-outs, and they are generally low in frequency.
