Service Manager

Role:

The AA is embarking on an exciting growth and transformation phase and is seeking to recruit a Service Manager to support the Technical Service Operations Manager in providing best in class customer service to our clients.

This role will form part of the Technical Service team and will report to Technical Service Operations Manager.

The successful candidate will be a highly driven, adaptable and confident people person who can thrive in a rapidly changing organisation and will adopt a hands-on approach to their role. We are seeking a high calibre and talented professional with a positive mindset and that is willing to learn.

Work location:

The role will be based at the SMR (Service, Maintenance and Repair) Worksop in Tallaght, Dublin.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities and focus areas for this role will include the following:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the workshop.
  • Ensure the department delivers top-tier customer service, meeting all KPIs.
  • Maximize efficiency and productivity within the team, ensuring service targets are met.
  • Manage the technicians, ensuring high-quality service standards.
  • Monitor and report the workshop performance, implementing improvements as needed.
  • Handle customer queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Minimum qualifications, experience & skills

  • Previous experience as a Service Manager is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • A deep understanding of the motor trade and aftersales service operations.
  • A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering the highest service standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Full driving license is essential.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills, and ability to influence and develop relationships with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
