At GHE Lifting we are looking for a hands-on and results-driven Service Technician focused on excellence and the best possible outcome for our clients.
Since 1965, we have been maintaining and inspecting a wide range of customised lifting equipment, including:
- Gantry cranes
- Jib cranes
- Overhead cranes
- Vacuum lifters
- Chain slings and polyester slings
- Specialised lifting attachments
This role will involve a variety of functions related to lifting equipment, including inspecting, testing, troubleshooting and repair of cranes, hoists, vacuum lifters and the inspection of polyester slings, chain slings and other below-the-hook items. Work will be mostly on our clients site and occasionally in the workshop/office.
GHE Lifting are accredited to ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 and we provide comprehensive training both during the on-boarding process and over the long-term to improve and develop skills and knowledge.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience in the lifting industry is beneficial but not compulsory. Must have at desire to learn and passion for succeeding in a fast growing business.
You will demonstrate a high level of self-direction and initiative, able to work autonomously and as part of the team. Working with the service manager for the scheduling of tasks, utilising bespoke software for task management and reporting, training and performance reviews as required.
A utility vehicle with enclosed canopy, full set of tools, Tablet, PC and uniform/PPE will be supplied as a minimum.
