Shift Leader/Barista

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Shift Leader to join our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Leader, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring that our team meets the highest standards of food safety and quality while providing an enjoyable experience for our customers.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate activities of team members during shifts to ensure efficient operations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
• Assist in food preparation and presentation, maintaining high standards of quality.
• Manage the Point of Sale (POS) system, including processing transactions accurately.
• Train and mentor new staff on operational procedures and customer service excellence.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively, ensuring satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in accordance with health standards.
• Implement time management strategies to optimize workflow during peak hours.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, with a strong understanding of food service operations.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and basic math skills for inventory management.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Strong time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts.
• Experience with POS systems is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
• Ability to lead by example, motivating team members to perform at their best.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.25 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
