The Shift Manager in Development is a critical role designed to develop future leaders within our operations team. In this role you’ll work closely with experienced managers and other key personnel to learn the intricacies of plant operations, including production, cost, quality control, safety, and personnel management. This role will also be seconded onto any special projects that arise, or to cover Shift Managers.
- Learn and understand all aspects of the production process, including machinery operation, quality control, and safety procedures.
- Assist in overseeing daily production activities to ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards.
- Ensure that production targets are met while maintaining compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Monitor production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
- Secondment onto special projects or cover Shift Managers as required.

- Demonstrated ability in overseeing daily operations within a food manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated strong leadership qualities such as decisiveness, integrity and the ability to motivate others
- Skilled in troubleshooting operational issues, making informed decisions quickly, and implementing effective solutions
- Ability to clearly articulate instructions and actively listen to team members.
- Able to build positive relationships, demonstrating empathy and fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
- Adaptability and an eagerness to learn, improve, and simplify in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work various shifts
