Shop Hand / Shop Helper For Construction Company

NOTE: This position is currently based in our Pingree Grove, IL shop.

It is the responsibility of the Shop Hand / Shop Helper to provide hands-on support to equipment and field operations by maintaining vehicles, managing supplies, and keeping the shop and yard organized and safe.

All new hires are subject to a pre-employment drug screen.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up parts, supplies, and equipment as needed
• Clean and maintain trucks, tools, and heavy equipment
• Keep the shop and yard organized, safe, and operationally efficient
• Assist mechanics and field teams with basic repair or prep tasks
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Competencies and Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction, equipment maintenance, or transportation a plus
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred, but not required)
• Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Must be punctual, dependable, and able to follow directions
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
