Shuttering Carpenter

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Shuttering Carpenter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the construction, installation, and dismantling of formwork (shuttering) for concrete structures, ensuring all work is carried out safely, accurately, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Measure, cut, and assemble timber or proprietary formwork systems
• Erect and dismantle shuttering for concrete pours (e.g. walls, columns, slabs, beams)
• Ensure formwork is aligned, level, and structurally sound
• Work closely with steel fixers, concrete finishers, and site supervisors
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
• Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and correctly
• Follow health & safety regulations and site procedures at all times

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a shuttering carpenter on construction sites
• Strong knowledge of traditional timber shuttering and/or system formwork (e.g. Doka, Peri)
• Ability to work accurately from drawings and plans
• Good understanding of concrete works and sequencing
• Physically fit and capable of manual work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €22.00-€27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
