Servicing the Bay of Plenty, our Edgecumbe site has been manufacturing dairy products since 1923. The site produces pastry sheet butter, prepared edible fats, anhydrous milk fat, casein & caseinates, whey protein concentrate, milk minerals and probiotics. Edgecumbe is the only site in NZ that produces calcium Caseinate.

Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity
The Site Eligibility Specialist (SES) will lead eligibility and traceability functions for the Edgecumbe, Hautapu, Lichfield and Reporoa sites, ensuring compliance with product eligibility (EDec) and traceability regulations. The SES will handle escalations, share learnings, and support the virtual eligibility and traceability Center of Excellence for NZ Manufacturing. This role involves problem-solving, performance monitoring, issues management, and audits, working closely with the other SES’s to maintain compliance.

This is a Fixed Term opportunity until October 2026.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for EDec and traceability, providing expert guidance and information to internal stakeholders across the supply chain, the Central Eligibility Team, and the Traceability Centre of Excellence
  • Lead site engagement for the Eligibility Declaration audit process, including preparation, coordination, and resolution of action plans arising from Regulatory Authority and MPI interactions
  • Track and analyze performance indicators to ensure accurate eligibility and traceability data accompanies product flow throughout the manufacturing process
  • Influence and support colleagues across site teams to ensure business readiness activities are effectively monitored and executed
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving sessions with teams, triggered by Continuous Improvement metrics and thresholds
  • Maintain precise documentation and robust processes to manage the eligibility of dairy ingredients throughout the site

Mōu | About You
You will have an understanding of how we maintain the eligibility of product on site including the EDec and traceability requirements, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, alongside experience within a Manufacturing environment. You can demonstrate skills in managing escalations and sharing learnings, and show experience in performance monitoring and issues management. It is essential you have strong attention to detail and organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a virtual team environment.

Additional skills you will bring to this role:
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in dairy manufacturing operations
  • Solid understanding of regulatory standards governing dairy product eligibility
  • Proven ability to stay calm under pressure while effectively managing competing priorities and stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, complemented by intermediate proficiency in computer applications

A strong base of leadership experience in dairy manufacturing will be key to your success.
