Position Overview

The SMSF Administrator supports the effective - accurate and timely completion of SMSF Accounting and Taxation Requirements while adhering to the WGC Client Care Culture. The Role contributes to positive

Client and Staff Interaction and an improved overall level of Service by working collaboratively -communicating clearly and using day-to-day Interactions as an opportunity to identify Client Needs and be proactive with Value Add.

Responsibilities

Collaboration-Communication:

  • Ensure effective Communication regarding Workflow - Work Capacity and ability to meet weekly Targets.

  • Provide timely and clear communication regarding client work status and Client Queries.

  • Work co-operatively and collaboratively with All Levels of the WGC Team - WGCSMT and External Agencies.

  • Demonstrate Professionalism and maintain strong Team Rapport.

  • Actively attend and participate in Staff Training.

  • Client Service:

  • Adhere to the WGC Client Care Program Requirements

  • Demonstrate WGC: Values in day-to-day Work and Interactions.

  • Provide Timely - Quality and Professional Service to Clients

  • Identify Opportunities to improve the Client Experience and escalate as appropriate.

  • Adhere to Firm Marketing Initiatives outlined in the Client Care Program.

  • Assist with preparation of WGC Pulse and Articles for Clients and Firm Website.

  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Maintain Technical Knowledge through ongoing Learning and Professional Development.

  • Assist with Engagement Agreements and Client Onboarding Processes.

  • Support effective and timely Client Engagements - Disengagements and Onboarding

  • Assist the WGCPHL Practice Manager with review and improvement of Firm Templates

  • Liaise with the WGCSMT regarding improvements to Firm Templates - Systems and Procedures

  • Assist with Administration - Office and Procedural Tasks as required

  • Undertake thorough Self-Review of all Client Work

  • Participate in additional Projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • With 5 years of experience in Accounting firm

  • Graduate of Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field

  • Understanding of generally accepted Accounting Principles and SMSF Reporting Requirements.

  • General knowledge of Australian Taxation - Superannuation and Accounting Matters.

  • Ability to review and interpret Australian Tax and SISA Legislation with guidance.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to organize - analyze and summarize Information effectively.

  • Ability to manage Time effectively and work to Budgets and deadlines.

  • Strong Planning and Prioritization Skills.

  • Ability to work independently with appropriate support and mentoring.

  • Logical thinking and structured Problem-Solving Skills.

  • Clear and professional Communication Skills.

  • Ability to build effective Working Relationships across Teams and Locations.

  • Collaborative and supportive Team Approach.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Xero - Class and other WGC- approved Software.
