Social Media Manager

Position Description:
We are seeking a talented and dynamic Social Media Manager to take our online presence to the next level. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pickleball, strong strategic thinking, content creation skills, expertise in paid ads, and a keen eye for design. You will be responsible for building and executing social media strategies that drive engagement, increase brand awareness, and support the expansion of Pickleplex.
The Key Responsibilities of a Social Media Manager are:
Strategy Development
● Develop and implement social media strategies across multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.) to meet business goals.
● Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media strategies with overall marketing objectives, including location expansion and community engagement.
● Monitor trends in the pickleball space and on social media platforms, leveraging insights to optimize content and campaigns.
Content Creation & Management
● Create, curate, and manage high-quality content (photos, videos, graphics, blogs, etc.) that reflects Pickleplex’s brand voice and values.
● Manage a content calendar to ensure consistent posting and alignment with business events, promotions, and key milestones.
● Organize and oversee any content collaborations, sponsorships, or influencer partnerships.
Paid Ads & Campaign Management
● Develop, implement, and manage paid social media campaigns to increase traffic, leads, and conversions.
● Analyze ad performance and continuously optimize campaigns to meet performance targets (ROI, impressions, click-through rates, etc.).
● Stay updated on best practices for paid advertising, utilizing tools such as Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram Ads, Google Ads, etc.
Community Engagement
● Engage with followers, respond to comments, and maintain a positive and energetic online community for Pickleplex.
● Build relationships with influencers, community leaders, and partners to increase brand reach and engagement
Design & Branding
● Design visually appealing graphics, social media posts, and promotional materials that align with Pickleplex’s branding.
● Ensure that all content and designs are consistent with the brand’s tone and aesthetics.
● Utilize tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or Canva.
Analytics & Reporting
● Track social media performance and provide regular reports on key metrics, campaign results, and ROI.
● Use data to adjust strategies and improve social media effectiveness.
● Monitor competitors and industry trends to keep content relevant and fresh.
Franchisee Support & Collaboration Responsibilities:
Franchisee Engagement
● Act as the primary point of contact for the Director of Franchise Relationships, providing guidance and support on local social media strategies, content creation, and digital marketing best practices.
● Collaborate with the Director of Franchise Relationships to ensure alignment of brand messaging and marketing efforts across multiple locations.
● Assist Director of Franchise Relationships in creating localized content that resonates with their specific markets while maintaining consistency with the Pickleplex brand.
Training & Resources
● Develop and provide training materials, guidelines, and resources to franchisees to help them effectively manage their social media presence.
● Conduct periodic social media workshops or one-on-one sessions to empower franchisees with the knowledge to implement successful campaigns.
Franchisee Campaign Coordination
● Work with the Director of Franchise Relationships to create and execute joint marketing campaigns, promotions, or events that support business growth and community engagement at each location.
● Track and report on the performance of franchisee-driven social media campaigns and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Brand Consistency
● Ensure all franchisees adhere to Pickleplex's brand guidelines and messaging across social media channels.
● Monitor franchisee content to maintain brand consistency and provide feedback or suggestions for improvement when necessary.
Required Experience:
· Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or in a similar role, preferably within sports, fitness, or lifestyle brands.
· Strong understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.) and their advertising tools.
· Experience in creating and managing paid ad campaigns across various platforms.
Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or Canva.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Creative, detail-oriented, and able to think outside the box to create engaging content.
· Strong knowledge of social media best practices, analytics, and trends.
· Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Passion for pickleball and sports culture is a plus!
· Experience with community management and influencer marketing is a bonus.
Required Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, sports marketing, or related fields
