The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to optimise our brand presence by implementing and executing our social media strategy. This role will drive awareness, engagement, and advocacy for NGS Super. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Brand and Acquisition Marketing, you are responsible for managing NGS’s social media presence, growing engagement, and ensuring brand consistency across all social channels.

Key focus areas include:
Develop and implement NGS Super’s social media strategy (in partnership with your team) to support brand awareness, engagement, acquisition, and retention goals.

Manage and optimise NGS’s presence across key social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and others.

Write compelling, brand-aligned copy tailored to different platforms and audiences.

Collaborate with the copywriters, designers and video production to create engaging, high-quality social content, including posts, videos, animations, and infographics.

Identify opportunities for community engagement and brand advocacy, fostering positive relationships with members and employers.

Track and analyse social media performance using relevant metrics (e.g., engagement rates, follower growth, impressions, conversions) and optimise content accordingly.

Work with the broader marketing team to support key initiatives through paid social media campaigns, ensuring effective targeting, messaging, and creative execution.

Work closely with internal stakeholders, including the Growth, Product, and Digital teams, to align social media efforts with business objectives.

About you


We are looking for someone who brings fresh experience and thinking to superannuation to help us on our growth journey. A passion for social media and content creation is essential, where you leverage this to effectively connect our brand with your key customers – our members and employers. You need to be able to walk in our members shoes, to live and breathe like them and to bring that vision and understanding to the team.

Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content strategy.

Strong understanding of social media algorithms, trends, and performance optimisation strategies.

Proficiency in social media management tools.

Experience in creating and managing paid social media campaigns.

Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging social content.

Proven ability to analyse social media data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Experience working in superannuation, wealth management, financial services or similar would be an advantage.
