Job Description:

The Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at Old Dominion University invites applicants for a Lecturer position to begin in Fall 2026. This is an annual 10-month non-tenure track appointment with the opportunity to teach in the summer as needed. The candidate appointed to this rank assume an instructional role, to include teaching (4:4) at the undergraduate level, advising, and participation in other professional service activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to teach Introduction to Cyberlaw and other related law classes.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach Introduction to Cybercriminology.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach coursework on cyber or online phenomena (e.g., coursework in Digital Sociology, Artificial Intelligence, Social Media, Surveillance).
  • Demonstrated ability to teach introductory criminology/criminal justice classes.
