About ATMP Norway


ATMP Norway is a national, cross-institutional infrastructure driving Norway’s ambitions in advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs), including cell, gene, and tissue-engineered therapies. Our mission is to enable seamless translation from academic innovation to clinical implementation. We are now establishing state-of-the-art GMP manufacturing capacity, strengthening national competence, and building a coordinated interface between research environments, hospitals, regulators, and industry. ATMP Norway represents Norway’s strategic investment in regenerative medicine and precision therapies, and will serve as a central point of contact in the Nordic region and Europe.


Position: Special Advisor

ATMP Norway seeks a highly motivated and strategically minded Special Advisor to support and coordinate the operations of this new national infrastructure. This role is pivotal. You will be the administrative backbone of ATMP Norway, ensuring execution, continuity, and quality across universities, pre-GMP and GMP nodes, clinical environments, and national partners. You will also act as a visible representative of ATMP Norway in Nordic and European collaborations, helping align the infrastructure with emerging standards, partnerships, and operational frameworks in the ATMP field.

Main Responsibilities

You will work closely with the directors and management team to ensure that ATMP Norway operates smoothly, efficiently, and professionally.

Administrative Leadership & Strategic Coordination

  • Coordinate operations across universities, platforms, GMP units, and clinical partners
  • Prepare and structure management and Steering Committee meetings, including agendas, documentation, and follow-up actions
  • Drive administrative case processing, distribution of documents, and archiving across the consortium
  • Oversee internal and external communication, including intranet, website, and newsletters
  • Support budget monitoring, resource allocation, and financial reporting
  • Serve as a central liaison between nodes, ensuring consistency, documentation, and timely delivery


External Relations & International Representation

  • Represent ATMP Norway in Nordic and European networks, working groups, and partner dialogues
  • Support interactions with governmental agencies, regulatory bodies, and funding organisations
  • Help position ATMP Norway as a leading national infrastructure within the European ATMP ecosystem Contribute to communication strategies, presentations, and visibility initiatives


Compliance, Quality & Development

  • Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and institutional policies
  • Contribute to long-term planning, evaluation processes, and strategic development
  • Maintain situational awareness of emerging technologies, infrastructure models, and policy changes relevant to ATMPs

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in immunology, biology, biotechnology or relevant field.
  • Strong understanding of administrative processes and organisational management
  • Excellent written and spoken Norwegian and English
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder tasks with precision and reliability


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous administrative experience in a Norwegian university hospital or research infrastructure
  • Familiarity with budget and reporting systems for Norwegian Research Council grants
  • Experience with Nordic or European collaborative projects
