What you'll be doing
The position provides administrative duties and support for the StEPS program in both Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) and Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD). The StEPS program provides vision screening assessments for all 4 year old children.


Selection Criteria

  • Experience working in a similar support role in a complex organisation as an effective team member.
  • High level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to clearly communicate with customers, senior management, health professionals and external agencies.
  • Ability to make good decisions about work priorities and achieve key tasks effectively in a busy work area.
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, providing an excellent customer service and maintaining client privacy and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated competence in computing and office packages including spreadsheets, database software, email and internet. Experience with EMR, CHOC and iPM highly desirable.
  • Motivated and able to demonstrate initiative in relation to known work procedures and work under broad supervision.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.

This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015. All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
