Responsibilities

• Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring products are organized, properly labeled, and replenished regularly to maintain an inviting shopping environment
• Operate the cash register using POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately and swiftly during customer transactions
• Operate lottery and handle sales
• Maintain clean and organized checkout areas while practicing professional phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries
• Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including processing payments and giving correct change
• Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays and ensuring products are presented attractively to boost sales
• Provide friendly customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and fostering a positive store atmosphere

Skills

• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers and team members
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist a broader range of shoppers
• Previous retail sales or tobacco store experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are advantageous for supporting team operations
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math for pricing and discounts, and quick mental calculations during transactions
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stocking procedures to maintain an appealing store layout
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent phone etiquette and customer service standards
