Stores Assistant

MAIN DUTIES:

General

  • Ensure that any items that are in back corridor are returned to correct storage area in the store or old cellar.
  • Have 2 allocated planned trips into town weekly to do (post or collect items form town).
  • Check in and sign for all deliveries during your shift and ensure they are stored in the correct place.
  • When checking deliveries, ensure they correspond to the order as per the delivery docket.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all received deliveries and process the delivery dockets for the accounts payable department
  • To assist chef each morning with checking in food deliveries and updating procure wizard.
  • Stock Take
  • To liase with the external stock takers to ensure reports are accurate, (mark internal drinks etc)
  • To check that wastage book is correct and all function drinks are accounted for.
  • To assist on the day ensuring all areas are clean and tidy before stock take commences.

Main Store old Cellar and Yard and Hostels

  • Ensure that store is always kept clean and tidy .
  • Ensure that all inventory is stored in correct labelled allocated position.
  • Ensure that all areas of store are locked down and secure at all times.
  • Ensure that we are not carrying any unnecessary inventory or stock.
  • Ensure that any out of date items or items that are no longer used are disposed of or sent back to keep our inventory levels down and will help with seeing stock levels.
  • Ensure that main yard is always kept clean.
  • Ensure that all bottles are done in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure that all skips are power washed before they are brought over to the hotel.
  • Ensure all bottles are disposed of correctly.
  • Ensure all Bottle skips are collected for disposal in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure that cellar is kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Ensure all items are put in correct labelled position in old cellar.
  • Ensure that hostel is cleared out quarterly and all rooms are labelled correctly
  • Ensure main gate is locked each evening.

Bars and Bar Stores and Cold Rooms

(Main bar and Back Store/ Terrace Bar/ Glendine bar and Back of Glendine Store and Cold room/Dunmore Bar and Dunmore Bar Store/ Rossmore Bar/Main Cold Room)

  • Ensure that Scotts Main bar and terrace is fully stocked every day to agreed par stock with all beverages/ wine and spirits and All supplementary items (coasters/coffee/take away cups/straws/ crisps/rinse aid and detergent/snack bars/ Tea bags/ e.t.c).
  • Ensure that all ballroom bars (Dunmore/ Glendine/ Rossmore) are fully stocked to agreed par stock before use, with all beverages, wines and spirits and all supplementary items (coasters/ Rinse aid and detergent/Straws e.t.c)
  • Ensure that Glendine and Rossmore bars are cleared of all stock when not in use, (to secure stock from pilferage).
  • Ensure that Main Cold room and Glendine Cold room are deep cleaned at least once per week and checklist is signed. Floors walls and Ceiling.
  • Ensure stock rotation of Bottled beers/ minerals/ wines and spirits and Kegs is done weekly.

Internal Stores

Staff hall storage shelves

  • Ensure staff hall is fully stocked with the following items daily Coffee/ Coffee filters/tea bags/napkins/wedding mints/chafing fuel/tray liners/glass covers kids plastic glasses e.t.c

Accommodation Storage area

  • Ensure that accommodation has all required items and store needs to be labelled with par stock amount (soaps and shampoos/ water/ Toilet paper/chemicals and cleaning equipment)

Health Club Storage Area

  • Ensure that Health has all required items and store needs to be labelled with par stock amount (Chemicals and Cleaning equipment toilet paper e.t.c

Reception Storage Area

  • Ensure that reception has all required items (keys cards and pouches/ Voucher holders/ Envelopes/kids bags/ family guides/colouring books e.t.c)

Internal Cellar

  • Ensure that it is kept clean and tidy
  • Ensure that it is locked at all times
  • Ensure it is only stocked to par stock and that no items are kept that are not selling
  • Ensure that it is clear of rubbish at all times.
  • Ensure that any items that are not used are taken to the main store.

Cage beside the main cold room

  • Ensure that shelves are labelled
  • Ensure that it is locked at all times.

Store

  • Ensure it has (coasters/ Mints/ Still and Sparkling Water/ Writing pads e.t.c

Farm Shop

  • Ensure it is fully stocked with Bars/ crisps/ ice creams/toys when in use
  • Ensure that all stock is removed when shop will not be use for a long period of time.

Kitchen

  • Ensure that kitchen receive all chemicals and cleaning equipment, From time to time you will be required to collect items from town that were not ordered on time.

HEALTH & SAFETY

  • To ensure that reasonable care is taken for health and safety of yourself, other employees, guests and any other persons on the premises.
  • To be aware of trained first-aid personnel on the premises and the location of first aid box.
  • To observe all safety rules and procedures, including those laid down in the Health & Safety Statement for your place of work.
  • To be thoroughly familiar with emergency, fire evacuation, medical procedures and accident reporting.
  • To carry out and promote fire and accident drills as directed by the hotel safety officer
  • To make yourself available for safety training at least once a year if required.
