About the Role:

Our Office of Strategy and Planning Team is seeking a Strategy Analyst with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to solve complex business problems. This opportunity would suit a customer-oriented individual who thrives working in a collaborative and positive culture.

You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to interpret policy and regulatory settings, contribute to market reviews, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery and customer experiences.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assist with the review and interpretation of internal and external policy and regulatory settings, including assessing controls against those requirements
  • Undertake market reviews and scans to understand customer behaviour, inform pricing and targeting decisions, and influence new product development.
  • Analyse, interpret and model datasets to support market reviews and strategic planning activities.
  • Support strategic planning activities across the University.
  • Undertake strategic projects and collaborate on cross-functional projects.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to facilitate improved service delivery and customer experience.
Who we are looking for (selection criteria):
  • A degree in commerce, business, or a quantitative discipline with relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse policy and regulatory statements, with ability to interpret the implications and requirements arising from those statements.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse data from a range of sources as well as a strong attention to detail.
  • Global mindset that enjoys identifying innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to deliver insights and recommendations tailored to the audience.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work on varied projects.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively to meet priorities and deadlines.
You will bring:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex information
  • An interest or experience in policy, regulatory environments, market analysis or strategic planning
  • The ability to interpret information and translate insights into clear, practical outputs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across teams
Role Requirements:
  • As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered
