Job Description:

Role Summary:

Reporting to the Manager, Change Management Chapter, the Student-Change Management Consultant is responsible for providing change management, communications, and project management support to key initiatives across Canadian Operations. This results-oriented change management professional will help create and execute on the integrated change strategy and plans, including communication planning and execution, as well as project management support to the change workstream.

Accountabilities:

Change Management & Communications (70%)

  • Partner with the Change Management consultant team in the planning and execution of the change management strategy and change plans across several projects in Canadian Operations
  • Act in a consulting capacity with the project teams and internal partners.
  • Provide day-to-day change management advice and counsel to internal partners and project teams as assigned
  • Create and deliver of the change and communications plans through the development of written copy, speaking notes, presentations, videos, etc.
  • Analyze and repurpose highly technical information for a variety of internal and external audiences, selecting the appropriate channels for communications etc
  • Manage day-to-day operation of the initiative’s collaboration / internal site, if applicable
  • Other duties as required.

Project & Program Management (30%)

  • Provide direct support in the delivery of the various change management deliverables.
  • Develop, update, and maintain integrated project plan across the various workstreams, using tools such as excel or MS Project
  • Communicate as necessary to the various project teams on project status and deliverables.
  • Highlight project risks if timelines not being met and/or the various project teams.
  • Continue to build “change management” culture, which can be done through maintenance of the Change Management Resource Centre as needed, Workplace posts etc.

  • Strong change management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint, creating compelling content
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent influencing, negotiating, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in ambiguity.
  • Ability to interact with and provide advice and counsel to leaders and project team members.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise judgment.
  • Ability to deliver measurable results.
  • Strong team player who works well with other team members and business partners
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with various communications channels (print, online, audio, video, podcast, blog, etc.)
  • Clear understanding of priorities and business issues

Requirements:

  • Passion for supporting people and leaders
  • Preferred area of study: HR, Business, Communications, Marketing
  • Experience developing communications, presentations
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.

Eligible Sun Life employees for various Campus Graduate programs will also participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance
