Summer Internship - Strategy & Development

The Role

Ecocem is shaping the future of low‑carbon cement with ambitions to deliver a 50% cut in CO₂ emissions from cement by 2030. We have an exciting opportunity for a 3 month Strategy & Development Internship, running from 1 June to 28 August 2026, offering hands‑on experience in market research, industry analysis, financial modelling, and strategic planning.

This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain insight into how Ecocem evaluates global market trends, builds business cases, and develops strategies to accelerate the decarbonisation of the cement sector. Working closely with the Strategy & Development team, you will support real‑world projects that contribute to shaping Ecocem’s future growth and impact.

This role is based in Dublin with a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days per week onsite, Mon-Fri 9:00am - 5:30pm.

Role Responsibilities

Market & Industry Research

• Conduct regional and global research related to the cement and construction materials industries.
• Collect and analyse data such as pricing, emissions, production volumes, and competitive landscape.
• Identify trends and provide insights that support strategic decision‑making.

Data Analysis & Business Modelling

• Support financial forecasting, business model development, and product costing activities.
• Assist in the preparation of market reviews and commercial recommendations.
• Analyse datasets and present findings clearly and accurately.

Strategic Support

• Contribute to business case development, including technical, commercial, and financial considerations.
• Support cross‑functional projects that explore sustainability, innovation, and market positioning.
• Participate in discussions and problem‑solving activities with the wider team.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Studying business, economics, finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Interest in market research, financial analysis, or sustainability-focused business strategy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and general data handling.
