We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to manage the Lithium Raw Materials supply chain present in the battery cells used in our vehicles. This position’s focus is to build a lithium concentrate supply chain that is robust, cost effective, and of high quality to enable Tesla’s vehicle builds. We’re looking for a candidate who has a demonstrated ability to successfully navigate ambiguities/complex situations, lead programs/projects from origination to execution, and drive cross-functional collaboration to enable high quality sourcing and operational decisions.
What You'll Do
- Own the Lithium Raw Materials supply chain end-to-end from deal origination, negotiation, and execution of Tesla’s Lithium Raw Material supply contracts that results in optimized price, quality, and cost
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Logistics, Operations, Legal, and Suppliers to optimize Tesla’s supply-demand balance of Lithium Raw Materials on a day-to-day basis
- Address all areas of category management including business plans, market conditions, technology roadmaps, cost modeling, government policies, and sourcing strategies
- Monitor lithium industry trends, track supplier performance, and actively partner with internal teams to identify and mitigate supply and demand challenges
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, including but not limited to dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviews
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain management or commodity management, preferably in battery metals and/or materials
- Ability to analyze the lithium raw material and chemical markets and build financial models to identify sourcing opportunities
- Ability to integrate commercial, technical, and legal concepts into supply contracts and drive the contract negotiations from origination to execution
- Ability to collaborate well with Engineering, Operations, Logistics, and suppliers to manage lithium concentrate supply programs for both Tesla’s lithium refinery and partner facilities

$101,280 - $232,920/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
