Ngā Tūranga Mahi hei Kaitautoko i Hōhepa | Support Worker Opportunities at Hōhepa

We’re currently looking for Support Workers to join our team, with a range of roles available depending on your experience and preferred shifts. We operate 24/7 and offer:

  • Part-time and full-time positions

  • Wakeover and sleepover shifts

Mō te tūranga | About the Role

You’ll work alongside the person you support to help create a life full of rich and diverse experiences. You’ll need to:

  • Read situations, problem-solve, and apply boundaries or offer space

  • Support daily routines while encouraging independence and personal growth

  • Assist with personal cares, cooking, medication administration, and household tasks

  • Be passionate about helping people access and participate in their wider community

This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level, pays between $23.50 and $29.10 per hour.

At Hōhepa the role of a Support Coordinator is what is often referred to in the wider healthcare sector as a Support Worker. We feel that the title Support Coordinator better reflects the nature of the role, which requires working in partnership with the people receiving support to ensure we are achieving our organisation mission of every life fully lived.
