Sustainability Data Intern
JOB
Provides professional level staff and/or public assistance in the areas of research and analysis, procedural studies, program coordination, and technical planning for a variety of general administrative or specialized technical projects in support of the objectives of the division to which assigned.This internship will assist in collecting and tracking sustainability data and will support the city’s LEED for Cities application. This position will be housed in the Sustainability Director’s office and will work with various city departments to obtain and analyze data. The ideal candidate would have some knowledge of sustainability programs or of the LEED for Cities certification process, but all candidates with an interest in sustainability are encouraged to apply.Please note the following: The hiring range is expected to be $20.09 - $22.00 per hour.Part-time positions have limited benefits, as required by law.Part-time positions are unclassified, at-will and serve at the discretion of the City.This position will be part time, up to 20 hours per week, through the end of June 2025.Interviews may be scheduled periodically throughout the duration of this continuously posted recruitment until the position is filled. Education and ExperienceNo experience required for this position.Must be currently enrolled or recently graduated within a year from an accredited college or university degree program in a field related to the department in which assigned.Preferences may vary depending on job assignment.Licensing, Certifications and Other RequirementsEvery person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.
