Systems Engineer

Role: Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with clients to understand their IT needs and design custom solutions.
• Set up and connect systems to ensure everything works smoothly.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues.
• Log and prioritize support requests using the ticketing system.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware fixes or software updates.
• Escalate complex issues when needed and assist with additional tasks as assigned.
• Build strong relationships with clients and keep them informed about project progress.
• Conduct reviews to ensure the project aligns with client expectations.
• Perform regular system updates and maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
• Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency.
• Suggest and implement changes to improve system performance.
• Conduct training sessions to help clients use IT systems effectively.
• Create user-friendly guides and FAQs for future reference.
• Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect data.
• Manage access controls and address vulnerabilities with timely updates.
• Participate in post-incident reviews and propose improvements.
• Keep accurate records of systems, configurations, and processes.
• Maintain a knowledge base for troubleshooting and team reference.
• Document all IT assets, changes, and recovery plans.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience as a System Engineer, Network Engineer, or similar role.
• Certification in CCNA, VMware, or ITIL is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Flexible, eager to learn, and able to work well alone or with a team.
