Role Description

This is a permanent full-time opportunity to join our team as a Technology Sales Specialist. The Technolgy Sales Specialist will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across North America, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and developing customized solutions for clients. The role involves conducting market research, presenting proposals, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong understanding and working experience working in the IT Services and Solutions Industry, supporting Telecom and Utility customers across North America.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the client base in the IT consulting sector, with an annual target of $5 million in direct IT sales.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations to position our IT consulting services effectively.
  • Engage in the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and closure, ensuring consistent achievement of revenue goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions that address client needs and deliver exceptional value.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement.
  • Mentor and coach junior members of the business development team, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize sales processes, enhance customer experience, and maximize revenue generation.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, fostering trust and loyalty to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • This opportunity will be a remote role and should be open to travel across North America.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to understand client needs and propose tailored solutions
  • Experience working in the IT services and solutions industry
  • Experience in market research and analysis
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Experience in the IT industry or GIS applications is a plus
  • Experience supporting Utility or Telecom industry in the IT Services industry will be an asset.
  • Ability to travel across N America.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$99,000.00 per year
