Description:
The Role

The Trainer and Assessor role will be an active member of the St Nicholas Pathways team and will play an instrumental role in enhancing the learning outcomes for St Nicholas Pathways trainees and students. This role will be based out of Maitland Pathways and will work in the Hunter Valley and Upper Hunter Areas. This role will be temporary until 13 March 2026. The role will be offered on either a part-time or full-time arrangement.

Primarily the role will be responsible for the delivery of training and workplace assessment of the following positions:

  • Early Childhood Educator Certificate III CHC30121 (and any national equivalent)
  • Early Childhood Educator Diploma CHC50121 (and any national equivalent)
  • School Based Apprenticeship Traineeship (SBATS) Certificate III CHC30121
  • Additional delivery programs within the strategic partnership with the partner RTO
  • Delivery of St Nicholas Pathways Programs including Immersion and Professional Development Programs
Skills and Experiences:
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE 40116 or as specified by the standards or enrolment in qualification – working towards qualification.
  • Diploma level qualification for the purposes of the education and care services, national law, and regulations.
  • Current Child protection qualification.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • Driver’s License.
  • High Level Communication (including both written and verbal applications) and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to deliver feedback in a supportive manner that is appreciative of different learning styles to ensure transfer of learning.
