Training Specialist – Automated Farming Technology
- Permanent Full-time Opportunity based in New Zealand, covering the Canterbury region
- In-field, customer facing role for SenseHub Monitoring solutions (previously known as Allflex monitoring)

In this role, you will focus on all aspects of the customer experience once they have purchased a Monitoring solution. Customer care is a guiding principle of all that we do and is integral to our success. This care and support is for the lifetime of the product.
Our monitoring and automation business is a world leader in the design, development, manufacture, and delivery of solutions for animal identification, monitoring, and traceability. Our data-driven solutions are used by farmers, companies and countries to manage hundreds of millions of animals worldwide. By putting intelligent, actionable management information into farmers’ hands, our solutions empower them to act in a timely manner to safeguard their animals’ health and wellbeing, while achieving optimal production outcomes for a healthy food supply.
What You Will Do
- Ensuring that all end users have the required training and support to get the most benefit from our Monitoring, Automation and Milking Intelligence solution.
- Carrying out the delivery of training and support making best use of the resources within our Animal Health team and our business partners.
- Travelling extensively across your territory area, working directly with our customers and key stakeholders.
- Driving awareness of our Animal Health Monitoring, Automation and Milking Intelligence technologies.
- Fault finding of hardware and software systems.
- Liaising, reporting and testing in conjunction with colleagues and our dealer network.
- Supporting the technical team in implementing hardware, firmware and software updates.
- Supporting sales team as required.
- Answering queries and supporting customers on the company user group Facebook page.
- Liaising with other companies to interface to drafting systems or software systems.
- Ensuring all end users, staff and business partners are aware of software improvements, new releases and new features.
- Attending shows, conferences, field days, training sessions and various sales promotion activities.
- Assisting the sales team with promotional activities when appropriate such as sales presentations to individual or groups of farmers and supporting dealers at field days and trade shows.
What You Must have
- A strong understanding and passion for New Zealand agricultural industries
- Strong relationship management skills and a customer-first approach
- An ability to engage at various technical and operational levels
- Able to assess the training needs and deliver tailored programs to suit customers' needs
- Able to monitor and evaluate training programs effectiveness, success and ROI
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to plan, multitask and manage time efficiently
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent record keeping skills
- Full, current NZ driver’s license

- Working ratio: 3.5 days in field, customer-facing, 1.5 working from home
