About the Position
The Tribal Account Manager II (TAM II) provides expert account management and strategic support to Tribal stakeholders utilizing Workforce Solutions (WFS) services. This role fosters strong relationships with Tribal governments, education offices, enterprises, and healthcare facilities, ensuring high-quality service and engagement post-Tribal Strategic Alliance Agreement (TSAA) activation. The TAM II collaborates with internal teams and Tribal leadership to address service needs, consult on gaps, and implement tailored strategies that drive success. Acting as a trusted liaison between Tribal entities and the University of Phoenix, promotes awareness of educational programs and resources while representing the University within Tribal and higher education communities.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
1. Collaborate with UOPX senior department leadership, TAM I’s, and Account Executives to launch newly executed TSAA’s while building and fostering deep and meaningful relationships with various Tribal entities; triage and resolve incoming requests from clients. Drive client satisfaction through the development and execution of effective account plans and strategies defined by the client’s needs, including outlining engagement, marketing, promotional, and event strategies.
2. Develop and deliver presentations to Tribal executive teams, entity stakeholders, and influencers. Maintain a detailed understanding of markets, segments, and segment organizations with a focus on identifying potential Tribal entities that align with the University’s strategic objectives.
3. Collaborate with internal Tribal stakeholders to provide high-quality client relationship management; work in partnership with university internal departments to provide product insight and determine opportunities for client-focused strategic offerings.
4. Provide leadership with weekly report progress as directed; update account plans in the appropriate tracking platform (i.e.: SRM), including preparation of materials for internal and external account reviews to achieve strategic success.
5. Stay apprised of current events within applicable markets and maintain current and thorough knowledge of all the certificates, professional development, and degree programs; ensure compliance with all applicable regulations (e.g., no solicitation and limitations on university program participation); ensure all members of account team are aware of applicable regulations and that they maintain compliance at all times.
6. Execute engagement strategies within the Tribal entity’s entire business geographic footprint and develop strategic solutions to address those needs; define the communications cadence and format that best serves the entity’s needs and develop a foundation for long-term account growth and success. Serve as a resource for Tribal staff to uncover opportunities for direct member and employee engagement.
7. Be available as necessary to attend approved internal and external Tribal and UOPX events that occur outside of standard business hours, including weeknights and weekends, and which may require out-of-local or out-of-state travel. Collaborate with leadership and corporate clients to organize and prepare for approved client events, including scheduling and providing guidance to other Tribal Operations Team members to ensure fulfillment of the mutually agreed upon strategy. Secure approval prior to arranging travel and have reliable transportation to attend client and/or community meetings or events in your local area.
8. Provide Tribal leadership with engagement and activation team supervision and oversight as needed.
9. Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Five (5) years of related business development and/or sales experience working with Tribal education offices, governments, enterprises, schools, colleges, or healthcare facilities
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree in relevant field (e.g., Business, Management, Marketing).
- Three (3) of supervisory and leadership experience working with business development teams
- One (1) year of experience in the higher ed market or Tribal industry, particularly as it relates to adult learners
- Demonstrated knowledge of Tribal culture and known educational learning barriers, and successful engagement experience with Tribal leadership, membership, employers, and employees
- Customer service oriented and experience achieving high levels of employer/Tribal entity strategic engagement
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Able to effectively manage and perform work remotely from a home-based office with limited local supervision and maintain consistent accountability for expected outcomes
- Exceptional presentation skills to large audiences
- Strong business acumen and the ability to recognize marketing and business development opportunities and to pursue them strategically
- Able to quickly assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective decisions
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills and excellent implementation of tasks/projects; strong commitment to quality and accuracy
- Proven results in business development, specifically gap mitigation methodology
- Able to multi-task and meet daily/weekly deadlines
The annual pay range for this position is $84,200 (minimum), $127,200 (midpoint), and $170,200 (maximum).*
- Typical hiring range is between the minimum and midpoint of the above pay range. Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location and budget.
