AZAD is seeking an Ultrasound Technician for a W2 Contract position in Fairfield, California.
Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other weekend. 1500-2330 hours (40 hours 1 week, then 24 hours the next).
Assignment Duration: The initial assignment length is 13 weeks with a high probability of being extended.
Compensation & Benefits: The hourly compensation pay rate range is between $50.00 - $60.00, plus daily stipends, $110 Lodging and $68 Meals & Incidentals. Benefits offered include Paid Time Off (48 hours Holiday and 40 hours Accrued Sick Time), Co-paid Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Cafeteria Plan, and 401k.
Essential Functions:
Coordinate daily patient schedule.
Perform studies and ensure correct processing and handling.
Ensure proper equipment maintenance and cleanliness.
Attend seminars and in-services.
Take calls and standby as needed.
Promote a cooperative and positive relationship with physicians and other hospital staff/departments.
Performs ultrasound examinations in accordance to established protocols.
Assist and instruct patients prior and during examinations.
Evaluate each study to ensure it meets required quality standards.
Ensure patient confidentiality, safety and well being during examinations.
Inspect and cleaning equipment prior to use.
Report to ultrasound supervisor all equipment failures and/or malfunctions.
Report all patient complaints, discrepancies and drug reactions according to the QA policies.
Responsible for processing images, organizing paper work and completing charge sheets.
Work in other areas of the department such as reception, assisting transfer, transport, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of hospital (acute) experience.
Vascular experience (40%-50% of cases), and OB and peds experience.
RDMS / ARRT Certification.
