About the position
We are looking for an experienced Underground Maintenance Technician to maintain and service our underground equipment and assets. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out preventative and scheduled maintenance, fault finding breakdowns, and ensuring compliance to our maintenance systems.
You will join our close-knit Underground team and support our sites at a national level, working an 8/6 roster (FIFO from Perth).
This role would suit an experienced LV Mechanic, Auto Electrician, or a mechanically minded Underground Charge Up Operator.
Essential Requirements
- Unwavering commitment to safety and efficiency in leading a positive safety culture
- Mechanically minded with experience in fault-finding and diagnostics
- Experience with auto-electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Quick and efficient problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with a commitment to timeliness and accuracy
- Collaborative and innovative approach with a proactive mindset
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
Desirable Requirements
- Experience working in the mining industry (drill and blast/and or underground)
- Computer skills with OEM programmes experience
- Experience working with MPUs/MMUs / Normet Charmecs
What you need (or have the ability to obtain)
- Current HR driver’s licence
- Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)
- High Risk Work Licence (Forklift and EWP)
- RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights
- National Police Clearance
- First Aid certification
