Food Runner – Amara Restaurant

Join our dynamic team at Amara, where exceptional service and attention to detail define the dining experience. We are seeking an efficient and attentive food runner to ensure our guests enjoy perfectly timed and beautifully presented dishes in our upscale Mediterranean restaurant.

Requirements:

· Previous experience in a food runner or similar role, preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.

· Strong communication skills to effectively interact with kitchen staff, servers, and guests.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining professionalism and composure.

· Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards.

· Ability to carry and balance multiple plates at a time with precision and care.

· Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

· Strong attention to detail, ensuring orders are correct and beautifully presented before serving.

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

· Team oriented and able to take direction from both kitchen and front-of-house staff.

· A positive attitude and willingness to assist with various tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:

· Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately, ensuring that dishes are served at the correct temperature.

· Ensure that each plate is presented according to the restaurant’s high standards before delivering it to the guests.

· Communicate any special dietary requests or modifications between the kitchen and servers to ensure guest satisfaction.

· Maintain knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer guest questions if necessary.

· Assist in clearing and resetting tables as needed, ensuring the dining area remains clean and organized.

· Help ensure smooth communication between the kitchen and the dining room by coordinating the timing of food deliveries.

· Refill water glasses and assist with other guest needs as directed by servers.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization in the service areas, such as the kitchen pass and expo stations.

· Assist with expediting food during busy periods to ensure timely service.

· Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.35 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
