ACS Hospitality Limited T/A Railway Hotel, located in Palmerston North, is renowned for providing excellent dining and beverage experiences. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Venue Manager to oversee the bar and restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service and memorable experiences for our guests. The Venue Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of the venue, managing the bar team, and maintaining a high standard of service at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations Management: Supervise daily bar and restaurant operations, ensuring the smooth running of all services and coordination between different teams.
- Staff Training and Development: Train bar and service staff to understand patron preferences, enabling them to make personalized drink recommendations and provide exceptional service.
- Menu Design and Updates: Assist in the creation and updating of drink and food menus, develop new cocktail recipes, and communicate new beverages and offers to guests.
- Customer Complaint Resolution: Address and resolve escalated customer complaints swiftly and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction is maintained at all times.
- Supplier Relations and Stock Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure that the bar and restaurant are consistently well-stocked and prepared.
- Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Ensure that all staff adhere to health, safety, alcohol, and other relevant regulations, including the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act of 2012.
- Vendor and Partner Coordination: Act as the main point of contact for vendors, technicians, security, and other representatives to ensure smooth operations during events or special services.
- Marketing Campaign Coordination: Plan and execute marketing campaigns for the bar and restaurant to attract new guests and retain regular customers.
- Assisting with Service: Support the team with drink preparation, serving, and sales as required, particularly during busy periods.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the bar operates in full compliance with relevant permits and regulations to maintain a safe and legal environment for staff and patrons.
Work Hours and Benefits
- Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week
- Paid between $30 to $34 per hour
Other requirements:
- Minimum 12 months of relevant work experience in hospitality or relevant Qualification level 5 or above
- Available to work on weekends and evening shifts
- Manager's Certificate preferable
- Team worker
- Leadership Skills and multi tasker
- Good with managing time.
- Hardworking and passionate individual
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00 – $34.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Weekend availability
Work Location: In person
