Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your accounting expertise in a dynamic and innovative environment. You’ll work alongside supportive and collaborative teammates.

You'll play a key role in supporting the local Chief Accountant, where you will own the end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) flow and grow across a variety of accounting tasks. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with finance teams across the business (e.g., local accounting teams, shared services center, regional finance teams), analyze financial data, and ensure compliance with internal and external accounting standards, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of supporting the reconciliation of financial records and addressing intercompany transactions, but also assist in improving financial processes and reporting accuracy.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Own the AP flow, end-to-end
  • Be one of the Finance Key User of the AP tool (Inspire)
  • Ensuring compliance with IFRS and company accounting policies
  • Providing analysis and insights to support decision-making
  • Assisting in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting or similar finance functions
  • Basic knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with SAP, GSI, Inspire or Teranga is a strong advantage
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!

Important to note

As a global business, we’re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 63 countries we operate in. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone.
