NAVBLUE, an Airbus Company, is currently seeking a VIE Junior Buyer to join our Procurement team in Waterloo, Canada.
The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) is a unique international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria.
VIE Main Requirements:
- European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Monaco), graduates up to and including 28 years old
- Have fulfilled military obligations for their country, if any
- The contract duration of VIE is 24 months.

Job Summary:
NAVBLUE, an Airbus Company is opening a VIE within its Procurement department.
The position holder will act as a Junior Buyer and be in charge of managing the purchase of various products and services for NAVBLUE, applying the Procurement process in terms of:
- supplier selection & management,
- contract negotiation & management,
- internal customer support,
- dashboard creation and maintenance
- supporting the HO Procurement in reporting / presentation material.
The mission requires experience in a Procurement role, e.g. buyer or supporting role.
Main Responsibilities :
- Contribute to proactive management of the relationship with internal customers to answer their needs.
- Support internal customers through awareness sessions.
- Support for suppliers creation.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers, including sourcing/supplier selection, especially with Software editors.
- Negotiate and set up contracts in line with strategic procurement policy and targets.
- Commercial proposal request, review, negotiation and validation.
- Support on the daily Procurement requests in the Sourcing tool.
- Ensure operations are effective and efficient. Purchase Orders’ are issued according to the quality, time and operating cost expected by the business and are compliant to Procurement rules.
- Ensure proper contract management, monitor contract spend & contractual KPIs, organise follow-up meetings with suppliers.
- Track and solve suppliers blocked payments.
- Performance management: Data and KPI analysis for the Procurement department. Dashboard creation and maintenance.
- Support management in reporting / presentation material.
Education :
- Successful completion of an Academic degree in Economics, Engineering or Management
Required Skills / Experience :
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
- Solid academic knowledge about tender processes and contract management.
- Previous experience in Procurement.
- Advanced practice of Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Furthermore you are a good team player with customer focus, have excellent communication skills, are able to work independently and with remote teams.
