Responsibilities
The successful candidate will primarily support the origination and execution activities across a broad range of structured finance transactions in particular within the Battery, Metals and Related Industries sector in the Australian and Asian markets and will have the opportunity to build close relationships with the teams onshore and within the organization more broadly on a regional and global basis. The candidate will also work with other business lines within Financing & Advisory such as Energy, Infrastructure and Real Estate.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Financial modelling including analysing financial scenarios and producing sensitivity analysis;
- Providing support in all aspects of the credit process including preparation of credit applications, due diligence and assistance with utilisation of internal models
- Managing other internal processes relating to financing & advisory transactions e.g. updating databases, briefing notes, completing internal system-based processes
- Supporting ongoing portfolio management and gathering of client information
- Contributing to the identification of potential new business opportunities and assisting with preparation of research and marketing materials
- Respecting all relevant compliance practices and other internal requirements in relation to the execution of financing & advisory transactions

Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master’s degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in Finance, Engineering, Business, Commerce, Law or a professional financial qualification
Language skills:
- Fluent in English (B2-C1)
Technical, operational & Soft skills:
- Proven analytical skills, numerical skills and understanding of financial statements, cashflow and financial modelling skills
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly explain complex financial issues to less financially literate stakeholders
- Proficient/Good command of MS Office
- Good communication and presentation skills
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Australia is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
