Job Purpose and Impact

In metals volatility trading has largely been a prop exercise to date. With this hire we look to reposition vol trading activity as a cornerstone of our business. The ‘vol book’ has the potential to be a unique differentiator within our global metals system and a significant driver of our earnings. The aims of the role are, firstly, to elevate the ‘vol book’ to a central, strategic role in the Metals system, thereby enhancing our ability to differentiate and, secondly, increase the 'vol book’s contribution to our earnings growth. Key Accountabilities

Generate Diversified Earnings :
Leverage options across the entire ferrous complex to monetize volatility-related trading opportunities.

Enable Earnings and Distribute Risk Across Sub-Books :
Use options to enhance our proprietary trading in sub-books and to improve the risk-reward profile of our trading strategies.

Provide Insights and System Edge :
Leverage our presence in the options market to generate insights that give our system an edge.

Identify and Monetize Optionality:
Leverage our global physical footprint and customer base to originate and monetize undervalued optionality and intgegrate this function in our tool box. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Proven track record (3-10years) of high performance volatility trading experience.
Strong math and quantitative skills
Strong analytic mindset and sound understanding of NFAs
Demonstrated high execution capacity and redord of delivering results across as well as within teams.
Strong written and verbal communication and documentation skills
Proven strategic thinking, decision making and problem solving skills
Able to operate in a complex and fast changing trading environment
Strong soft skills – Intellectual humility and agility, self-awareness, stress management, broad perspective, entrepreneurial spirit
