Memnon supports the owners of audio-visual collections (from broadcasters, sports organizations, cultural institutions, libraries and universities) and offers a wide range of services and solutions designed to digitize, restore, preserve and provide access to the audio-visual content in any format.
Job Purpose
The Memnon Logistics Operator will be responsible for media handling, barcoding, inventory, and warehouse activities. The Logistics Operator will work with other Memnon operators, studio supervisors, and management to ensure the receipt, inventory check-in, imaging, movement to and from production, storage, check-out, and shipping processes of the Memnon organization are efficient.
Responsibilities
- Receives incoming Customer media and equipment shipments in support of Memnon’s digital media production.
- Performs incoming media inspection check-in, including manifest review, barcoding, file organization, media asset imaging, and data entry into Memnon’s asset management system.
- Organizes media storage and delivery of media to respective production teams.
- Receives completed media from respective production teams, performs check-out, and prepares for return or transfer to long-term warehousing.
- Maintains inventory of all media and equipment entering or exiting the facility.
- Identifies missing or damaged materials and notifies the respective studio supervisor
- Ensures all outgoing media and equipment is safely and securely packed and labelled for shipping
- Handles all media with appropriate care
- Works with pallet jacks and forklift to move freight from warehouse racking and trucks.
- Assists with training of newly employed workers
- Ensures tasks are completed safely and on time
Administrative Duties
- Sets goals in collaboration with management and studio supervisors
- Audits and reports inventory levels of shipping and storage supplies
- Manages time to perform within defined schedule.
- Make suggestions for new technology and equipment when necessary.
- Interfaces with management, studio supervisors, operations staff
- Performs physical inventory and documentation.
- Shipping order recordkeeping
- Keeps up-to-date on the latest federal and state safety warehouse regulations

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum education:
- Prior experience working in a warehouse is preferred.
- All applicants should have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Written and verbal fluency in English
Minimum experience:
- Familiarity with barcodes and barcode scanning
- Familiarity with inventory control practices and logistics
- Comfortable using inventory software and other organizational computer applications
- Certification in the operation of a forklift truck is not necessary but would be considered a plus.
- Candidates may also have completed on-the-job warehouse organization and management training in another role.
