Warehouse Worker - Steel Distributor

The purpose of the position is to perform daily functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock, filling orders, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the most effective way to ensure our customers’ requirements are met

• Unload trucks, receive and inspect materials
• Process customer orders by pulling materials, cutting if necessary, packaging properly, labeling and staging for outbound pick up
• Use appropriate measuring devices to ensure accuracy of product
• Ensure proper storage and identification of stock
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Wear proper safety gear
• Interact with team members and other non-employee persons in the building
• Other job duties as requested

Qualifications include:

• Good Communication Skills (Verbal/Written)
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Good organization skills – attention to details
• Ability to prioritize
• Dependable and reliable
• Crane, tow motor, saw, other warehouse equipment, computer and measuring devices helpful but not required

Regularly lift 10/50 lbs, occasionally lift and / or move objects more than 50 lbs (with available devices)
Frequent standing and walking

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31,200.00 - $37,050.00 per year
