Web Developer

Responsibilities:

The Web Developer position is responsible for contributing to the maintenance and improvement of several e-commerce websites associated with Shoot Straight. Regular responsibilities for this position may include creating/updating products available for sale through various e-commerce sales channels, creating/modifying web pages using CMS or web programming languages, and assisting in the development of web-based applications. This role is full-time and onsite. Additional tasks as needed.

• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Attention to detail
• Strong motivation to learn new things
• Ability to work quickly and accurately
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent problemsolving skills and creativity
• Good interpersonal and communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Firearms Knowledge
• Familiarity with MacOS and Apple productivity software
• Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft productivity software
• Basic knowledge of web hosting, domain management, and clientserver communication
• Experience with or willingness to learn:
• Best practices in UI/UX, security, responsive design, and software development
• Best practices in search engine optimization
• Modern web stack architecture including, frontend, backend, and APIs
• Modern CMS platforms such as WordPress and Shopify

Additional Preferred Technical Skills:

• JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular + Typescript
• Server languages such as Node.js, PHP and ColdFusion
• Relational DBMSs such as MySQL
• Version control with Git on GitHub or Bitbucket
• Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment strategies
