Web Technical Lead – 100% role - Start ASAP
We are seeking an experienced Web Technical Lead to provide interim support during a period of absence.
This role is responsible for overseeing technical delivery, ensuring architectural alignment, and managing key stakeholder relationships, including the Group Security Team, Enterprise Architects (IT Service Enablement), IT Infrastructure, and our external development partner.
It requires a hands-on professional who can drive technical excellence, architectural alignment, and security compliance while ensuring seamless collaboration between internal stakeholders and external partners.
Additionally, the role will be project manager for the CMS platform migration project.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Oversight & Architecture
- Act as the primary technical liaison between our client, and the external development partner (iTUMX/Vokser).
- Maintain and update web platform architecture (liaising with Enterprise Architects), ensuring best practices in performance, security, and scalability.
- Define and oversee technical roadmaps, ensuring strategic alignment with strategic & tactical direction set by Group Brand Marketing and Communications
- Review technical deliverables, provide feedback, and facilitate issue resolution.
Security & Compliance
- Serve as the primary liaison with the Group Security Team, ensuring all web solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
Project Management & CMS Migration
- Lead the CMS platform change project, coordinating with Group Brand Marketing & Communications, vendors, Enterprise Architects, and the development partner.
- Develop and manage project timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
- Ensure a smooth transition with minimal impact on business operations.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Enterprise Architects to align web solutions with overall IT strategy.
- Oversee the external development partner’s delivery, ensuring adherence to architecture and security standards.
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and ensure their successful execution.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience with English as a working language
- Expertise in web platform architecture, scalability, and integration with enterprise systems.
- Some experience configuring CMS’s
- Experience working with and managing external development teams or vendors.
- Understanding of security best practices, working with security teams to ensure compliance.
- Proven track record in leading CMS platform migrations or similar large-scale projects.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps
- Experience with project management
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technical teams.
