Position: Website Support Specialist (WordPress)
Work hours: 9:00AM - 6:00PM Sydney Time
Compensation range: AU$2,300 - AU$2,600/month

About the role
Our client is looking for a Website Support Specialist(WordPress) to manage and resolve technical issues for client websites. You’ll troubleshoot site performance, handle WordPress-related issues, manage domain renewals, and ensure smooth operation of SEO tools. Strong communication skills are key, as you’ll work directly with clients and internal teams to address issues quickly and proactively. Responsibilities:

  • Website Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot common WordPress issues (site performance, broken pages, plugin conflicts), monitor website performance, and resolve security concerns.
  • Domain & Hosting Management: Manage domain renewals, troubleshoot DNS issues, and ensure website accessibility.
  • Digital Marketing & Tracking: Manage Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and other tracking tools, ensuring they work properly for clients.
  • Client Communication: Communicate updates, fixes, and issues to clients via email and occasionally calls. Escalate complex problems to developers when needed.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work with account managers, marketers, and developers to resolve client issues and manage 30-50 tasks per day, escalating when necessary.
  • Proactive Maintenance: Regularly check backups, monitor WordPress sites, and perform plugin updates and minor adjustments to keep websites running smoothly.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of WordPress, basic PHP, HTML/CSS, and domain/DNS management. Familiar with hosting environments and troubleshooting.
  • Problem-Solving & Organization: Ability to independently resolve issues, stay organized, and proactively manage tasks.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication with both internal teams and clients, explaining technical issues in a simple manner.
  • Experience: Familiar with WordPress, DNS, hosting, and digital marketing tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel).
