Wine Tourism Ambassador / Cellar Door Host

Reports to: Therese Herzog – Owner and Director

Employment type: Seasonal, Full-Time (Oct/Nov to end of April – flexible shorter term possible)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (some weekend work may be required during

peak season or events)

As the welcoming face of our highly regarded artisan wine estate, you’ll play an integral role in delivering

a warm, knowledgeable, and truly personal visitor experience. This is a varied role, ideal for someone

equally comfortable hosting elegant tastings, ensuring a seamless guest stay in our vineyard cottage, and

supporting the smooth running of our office and digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Host bespoke wine tastings and private experiences with grace and confidence

• Convert visits into meaningful wine sales and lasting loyalty

• Encourage wine club sign-ups through personal engagement

• Support our vineyard cottage guests with warm, professional service from check-in to check-out

• Handle day-to-day bookings, guest enquiries, and point-of-sale operations (Shopify)

• Contribute to marketing efforts including content for social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn,

YouTube), and occasional blog writing

• Prepare occasional cellar door bites for tastings and events

• Assist with general office duties and collaborate across our small, hands-on team

What we are looking for

• A sales-minded host with natural charm and genuine enthusiasm for wine

• Wine education (WSET Level 2+ or sommelier experience) strongly preferred

• Well-presented, personable, and professional with a hands-on attitude

• Proven ability to work independently and efficiently in a small business setting

• Familiarity with the wine industry, wine tourism, or hospitality

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Microsoft Office

• Dropbox

• Shopify – including:

– Smile (membership program)

– BookThatApp (online bookings)

• Canva (design & social media content)

• Xero (invoicing/accounting)
