About this role:

Serving customers from Berlin to Munich, we’re the biggest online food delivery business in Germany. It’s one of 16 international markets where Just Eat Takeaway.com operates, with around 60 million active users globally.

As our Working Student Finance Germany, you will play a key part in the German Finance team, based at our German HQ in Berlin. You will be instrumental in supporting the overall financial planning and performance analysis of our German operations.

Our goal is to deliver best-in-class financial insights, guidance and ensure finance as a Co-Pilot: empowerment of day-to-day operations & business steering across the business & organisation.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

You will play a vital role in the German Finance team and the wider Country Finance department by supporting multiple critical functions:

• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Assist in performing extensive financial modelling and analysis for a variety of reporting and planning activities

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the team in coordinating the budgeting and forecasting process, helping to translate strategic plans into detailed financial assumptions and P&L models

• Commercial Finance & Business Partnering: Support finance stakeholders (e.g., for Sales, Marketing, and Logistics) by providing robust financial analysis for strategic initiatives, business cases, and investment appraisals: finance as a co-pilot!

• Financial Controlling (R2R, P2P, Tax): Actively engage in the month-end process, supporting stringent reviews, analysis, and reporting. Assist with documentation and data gathering related to Record to Report (R2R), Procure to Pay (P2P), and general compliance tasks

• Performance Reporting: Help maintain and update monthly KPI reporting, including providing commentary on material movements to target.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely and cross-functionally with local teams in Germany, as well as HQ teams such as Marketing, Strategy, Commercial, the central FP&A function, and many more

What will you bring to the table?

• Working on a Bachelor’s / Master's / final stage University Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or any other relevant Bachelor / Master

• Relevant knowledge of core finance processes (Controlling, FP&A, Accounting) and a strong operational business understanding

• Advanced Excel, financial modelling, and reporting skills are required

• Fluent in English and German (written and spoken) and have good communication skills

• You are proactive, flexible, and a strong team player, with a highly analytical and strategic mindset

• Available for 2-4 days a week for at least 6 months
