Position Overview

We are seeking a Finance & Money Skills Instructor to lead a virtual pilot program running from March through April for students ranging from elementary school through high school.

This role focuses on age-appropriate financial literacy, helping students understand money in practical, relatable ways. Many students and parents will be new to financial education, so lessons should be clear, engaging, and beginner-friendly.

Responsibilities

- Lead weekly virtual finance sessions from March–April
- Teach age-appropriate money skills (saving, spending, budgeting, needs vs. wants, goal-setting)
- Introduce banking and investing concepts for older students
- Use real-life examples students can relate to
- Create a welcoming, low-pressure learning environment
- Communicate learning goals and key takeaways clearly to families
- Collaborate with Learn & Grow leadership

Program Details

Format: Virtual sessions
Schedule: Once per week
Program Dates: March–April
Duration: Approximately 8 weeks
Age Range: Elementary through High School
Parent Experience: No prior finance knowledge required

Qualifications

- Experience working with children or teens (education, tutoring, enrichment, youth programs, etc.)
- Comfort teaching basic financial literacy concepts
- Ability to explain financial ideas clearly and engagingly
- Patient, encouraging, and student-centered teaching style
- Background in finance, business, economics, or education is a plus (not required)

Compensation

Paid per session or hourly (based on experience)
Opportunity to continue working with families beyond the pilot program if interest remains strong
