DEI Power Solutions Inc. is a rapidly growing electrical equipment manufacturer specializing in custom switchgear manufacturing. As our business expands, we are looking for a professional and personable Receptionist / Sales Associate to help manage front-office communication and support our sales pipeline.
This role plays a critical part in creating exceptional first impressions for customers and keeping our sales workflow organized, efficient, and moving forward.
Position Overview
The Receptionist/Admin Assistant will be responsible for managing incoming calls, greeting visitors, handling basic administrative tasks, and supporting the sales team by documenting leads and routing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
This person must be friendly, organized, customer-focused, and able to keep detailed records of potential clients. No technical or electrical knowledge is required—however, strong communication skills, prior reception or sales experience, and comfort with office software are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and friendly manner.
- Serve as the first point of contact for walk-in customers and visitors.
- Record and document all incoming sales inquiries, leads, and customer requests.
- Enter lead information into CRM software or internal tracking tools.
- Route qualified leads to the Sales Manager or appropriate team member.
- Assist with scheduling, follow-up calls, and basic customer communications.
- Maintain an organized front office environment.
- Support the sales team with administrative tasks such as printing quotes, organizing documents, and processing basic order information.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive, helpful attitude.
- Perform other general office duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Reception, customer service, or sales experience required.
- Excellent phone etiquette and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); CRM experience is a major plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Ability to document and track leads accurately and consistently.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent customer interaction.
- Friendly, professional demeanor with a commitment to providing quality service.
- High school diploma required; additional education or certifications are a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in a Reception or Administrative support role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in use of computer applications or office software.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
