Overview
Gallagher is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team in Oslo as an Accountant. In this role, you will support financial operations and assist in managing fiduciary responsibilities, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all financial processes. Your meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organisational skills, and ability to collaborate effectively will play a key role in supporting our clients and maintaining the high standards of excellence Gallagher is known for.

How you'll make an impact
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and forecasts.
- Assist in monitoring and managing cash flow and financial planning.
- Prepare and review financial reports for internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Support the CFO and Accounting Manager in preparing for audits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Work closely with the Accounting Manager and other team members to align on team goals, processes, and deliverables.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or comparable professional experience as a substitute for the degree.
- Highly accurate detail-oriented, and organised.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong numerical competence and proficiency in Excel and other IT tools.
- Fluency in English and at least one Scandinavian language.
- Work experience from marine and/or energy insurance is preferred.
